Jake Mangum has been the Project Development Librarian for the University of North Texas Libraries' The Portal to Texas History (
www.texashistory.unt.edu) since February 2015. In this position he works as a liaison between cultural heritage institutions and The Portal’s Digital Projects Lab, in the creation and digitization of collections. As an added function of his role at the UNT Libraries, he performs outreach to various organizations and associations across the state. These include genealogical societies, museums, libraries, and private collectors.
On a more personal note, Jake is a proud father to two amazing girls (15 and 12 years old) and before they were born, he enjoyed reading, drawing, and painting. Since they were born he enjoys the occasional warm meal and the even rarer, clean house.
